Four of us fished a lake in ZEC Kipawa. 8 nights and 7 days on the lake. Weather cooperated beautifully with only one thunderstorm during the evening of 21 Aug. It rained so hard that the four of us had to yell to communicate as we sat around the kitchen table enjoying some Diplomatico Reserva Exclusiva (sipping rum). With the 21 inch harvest length enacted in 2012, we observed some difficulty catching 21 inch walleye. Not surprising I guess because 21 inch walleye have been the target for 7 years. We enjoyed three walleye meals while in camp (deep fried with Canadian Fisherman's Breading and Batter Mix, baked with bread crumbs, potato flakes and Parmesan cheese and pan fried in butter with salt and pepper). No northern pike or lake trout were caught. We each brought a few walleye home to enjoy with family members.
