Had to pull boat out of the lake on the Sunday, the water levels dropping a few feet making docking too shallow.

Fished just the Saturday a few hrs, boated around and tried some new spots,

Other than a couple stragglers, I found walleye groups in 42-45 feet holding on deeper flats on the edges of drops to 100’, pretty much were they will winter I guess.

No huge schools just seem to be small groups of 6-12 , jig and a Berkeley Gulp minnow, Tipped with half a dew worm was the ticket.

First little group produced 2 keepers just into slot and a couple dinks, next little school 3 nice fish about 20” and a couple little ones.

Tried trolling for a while with some big pike baits as I was bit off twice jigging. No luck

Might get out again in Nov weather depending ?

Thanks for your report reelpro. Did you happen to notice what the surface water temperature was? Did the walleye you caught at those depths exhibit any swim bladder inflation? Sorry to read that you had to pull your boat - there's potentially still good fishing weather remaining in Oct and Nov.
