I got some nice big perch around 3/4 lbs. While jigging in shallow water. Fun on an ultra light. There's gotta be some really big perch there.
Days spent fishing don't count against life :)

So Joe, do you have an eating preference? Walleye or perch?

I like them both equally well. Each time I revisit South Western Ontario (Windsor area), I always make sure I go to the Car Barn in Wheatley for a couple of perch dinners (fresh caught daily).

Hi Jay, I've never eaten a Kipawa perch yet. I got them around 6 fow. I got tjem looking for Walleye. I like to drift when I jig. For me an anchor is an ornament lol. depending on the wind I'll start very shallow or deep and drift almost to shore. Mostly finding perch in tight to shore. This summer I'll get some tiny jigs and target them. Been a while since I dusted off my ultralight.

thanks for all the comments. happy to be able to provide y'all something to read this winter, but I admit I'm a bit surprised no one commented on @rambler one handed catching/nettting skills from the video link... haha
