Lake Dumoine 2016

[Jig and drift]

Went to Dumoine July 3 - 8. Ride in is 72 miles of bumps and fun but not horrible. No great sightings on the drive like moose or bear as in the past. Weather was beautiful and camp was great as always. Best event of the week was a bear swimming across the lake as we rounded the first bend heading to camp. Fishing was a little slow this year. Enough to eat and took our limit home but they were not jumping in the boat as has happened sometimes over the years. Everything we cleaned had empty bellies so the bite was off. Go Figure. I am sure they will turn on and the next group will have the week of their lives. Overall a great rip. Roads up and back from Ohio were great. Little slow at the border both ways but no problem. Can't wait for next year !
