2021 ice out predictions info etc

For Kipawa big lake, further up north probably April 26th.  My Lake is just getting black along south shoreline.

To be honest, I hope it's later.
Don't want the fish to spawn earlier than normal and screw up their normal migration patterns.

Who's going to be the official date caller?  Usually it has been an outfitter.

Today is day 6 of significant melt. Snow has taken a beating and I suspect the ice has as well. I don't think I would trust crossing the lake anymore, but the locals will know better. Still hopeful for an abnormally early ice out / snow gonzo.

 Took a drive around some of the lakes and rivers close to Ottawa.
I'd say the way the weather has been, my prediction is April 14,2021.
Everything is moving along pretty quickly here.
I know you're quite a bit further north, but that sun sure has been a pleasure to have hitting you.
Most snow around Ottawa is GONZO!

Judging by the modis imagery it appears lake Simcoe is mostly ice free and even a fair sized lake north of Simcoe. I feel good about my April.12th prediction, even though it would be historically early. Warm temps today and long range looks very promising starting this Saturday.

The lake north, I believe is Lake Muskoka.
Lake joseph is looking darker and darker.
Nipissing is Still pretty white
