We had our second 2022 trip to Bush Country Camp last week and it may have been the best September fishing we have experienced.
First, the trip up was a bit longer than normal with the traffic and choosing the wrong lane at Canadian customs. Dont know what those people 4 cars ahead did or said but they were at the booth for  at least 15 minutes. Agent seemed pleasant enough to us so they must have really ticked her off.. Any way, the walleyes were deep at around 30 feet at the first part of the week and we were able to have steady fishing using bottom bouncers or jigs . they moved a little more shallow towards the end of the week which made things a little easier. We ate fish 4 times and brought home our limits. About 75 percent of the walleyes were within the slot but not too many over. Jack caught the largest pike, a 38 incher which was a brute . Strangely , its lower jaw was ripped making the boca grip almost useless. not sure how it got that way but seemed to be surviving ok.
The camp was in great shape and the boat and motor were top shelf. Cant wait til June now.

So many lures and so little time.

Thanks for the report. Makes me wish my July trip to TBL was closer. Glad you did well.
