Hey All - first time back fishing at Kipawa since since 2019 due to the pandemic. We’ll be fishing at Alwaki for the opening weekend.

Where is the best spot to buy leaches? Do you think the ice will be out in time for opener!

I spoke to Corinne quite a few times last year.
She was working at Pronature. She closed up Kipawa Bait.

If you're coming from the Ottawa valley, you might want to consider Backwoods Outdoors
at 2822 Hwy 17 east, Corbeil.

My advice is to call ahead at any bait shop to pre-order and pay to not be disappointed.

@nfc30  please post how you do opening weekend. Would be interested to see how fishing is that early.

@RHYBAK they did not know when I asked. Said they wouldn't until they actually came in.
I will post cost when I get mine.
