The only thing that I would recommend if going to a 19-21 foot boat don't under power the motor.  My boat was perfect 2 years ago and now put my 2 kids in back and my 90 struggles to get me up on plane.  I know the biggest cost when buying a boat is the motor but if you are looking at fishing Erie and weather sneaks up on you.  1 it's nice to make it back to shore quicker, 2. you want to be able to get front of boat out of water to get up on top of the waves.  Just my opinion.

I agree with Ozzy.
A 19-21 foot boat requires at least a 150.
I'm sure, any used boat you find in that size range will have the proper sized engine.

this is what I'd buy. What I have now. I got it in 1999 and it withstood heck on Georgian Bay and got me back every time. Always a comfortable dry ride.

Hi PG, that’s a sweet looking ride! You’ve had the boat since 99? How’s it held up for you?

It's kinda falling apart now. I lost the passenger side console and windshield when I flipped it and tried to right it. But it was loose anyway. hull is still solid and can take nasty weather. Looking at the cost of new boats I may just rebuild the interior. Motor is still good.

@Hodgey- with the exchange on the American dollar you should get one by Stanley Boats in Parry Sound, Ontario.

There's a few on Kipawa (Lindros has one) and they would easily handle the swells on Erie.

My vote goes to a Skeeter wx2200 or a Warrior v208.. both these would be very nice on Kip as well ;)

I am just tire kicking, honest!  ??? I am not wanting to insight brand issues and loyalties with the post, just seeking insight that people may have.

What are people’s thoughts, knowledge and or experience been with the brand Crestliner? I found this 19’9” Crestliner close by and may want to go kick a tire on it, if it is still for sale. I know nothing about this brand and for that matter, any other than the Lund I have, which I know is top quality. This is a nice length and 150 hp with a kicker also and fishing gear, like downriggers.

Crestliners are very popular in my parts Hodgey - a dealer east of Ottawa on the river sells many of them each year - you see as many crestliners around our waters as you do Lund or Princecraft.

The picture in your post.. that looks like a sweet well equipped boat.

Check out https://andrelalonde.com/  (the dealer about 40 minutes east of where I live).

My fishing partner has the crestliner and it's a beautiful boat.  When I compare mine to his there some things I like better on mine but there are also things I like better on his.  I would consider buying a crestliner next time.  My thought is that crestliner and lund are on the same playing field.  (only my thought)

Nice boat! But if your looking for an Erie boat and can swing it I would look for a glass boat.. Night and day difference in ride.. If you find a glass boat you will get a better ride for sure. With that said one draw back in the older boats is rod storage is often for shorter rods.

I ran a 2150 Crestliner Sportfish for 13 yrs - excellent boat - lots of space inside high sides and handled big water great.

I would rate a Crestliner right below a  Lund for build and performance quality

Perhaps better now - mine was a 2006

Thanks guys for the input! I will keep looking, as this appears it maybe sold. Looked near perfect for my purposes, but still not certain the size is enough boat?????? 19'9" is only 3' longer than my current, but i think this Crestliner has higher sides and transom, I need to double check those dimensions, if it were still for sale or do one of you know that the 1950 is Lake Erie worthy "It appears so from the photos" the side look sufficiently high?

I had the sport fish model I think the sides are a bit higher on that vs fish hawk

Check the sides height vs Lund tyee or Crestliner sportfish

Those 2 are definitely Great Lakes models.

Just because I am curious.....What is a Starweld boats reputation? The name invokes thoughts of junk to me? is it the spark-O-matic of 80's stereo equipment?
