We are finally getting a Cabela's up here and it is right smack in the middle of your drive north.
In Barrie Ontario just off of the highway and the Mapleview Drive Exit.
To bad most of us will be missing the opening.
It opens on July 10,2014.

I have a new Cabela's a few miles from my house and go there often. When I walk in the door, it's like "Hey, T-Bone! Good to see you again!" ;D My son asked me last evening when we were making a trip over to Cabela's to get "more stuff" for the Kipawa trip. He followed that with, "I can feel it's getting closer, and I'm getting really excited."
And THAT'S what it's all about...

That is good to know for the "Oh no, I forgot something" while in route.
But like T-Bone, I also have one close to the house (5 miles) and if all else fails I also have a Bass Pro about 12 miles in the opposite direction
(I'm outfitting store blessed! or cursed with to easy to spend)
The Buffalo Cabelas opens this fall, can't wait!
I saw that one a few months ago.
Looks like it's going to be a big one.
Your also getting a Bass Pro just across the border in Ontario.
Just outside of Niagara Falls.
Some times traffic around Barrie is backed up for miles,hope they have a plan !

The Buffalo store opens this fall. Bass Pro promised Buffalo that they would build a store downtown. They strung everyone along for years with their promises and then they backed out. So glad Cabels committed to Buffalo. I think that will do well here.

Yeah, the store in Buffalo (Cheektowaga to be exact) opens August 7th at 11:00 AM and I'll be 400 miles north on Kipawa. I've been kidding that I'm going take a couple days off of work to camp out to be the first one through the door, but I'd rather be fishing...on Kipawa that is.
