Started tossing-around the idea of an opener trip or 'just past' opener trip up to Kipawa with my nephew Mattie. Trying to get a firm bead on the anticipated cost door-to-door and can project some costs but having a little trouble on others. Specifically, was looking for the applicable taxes (say, per $100 CDN) on staying with an outfitter. Those taxes always confuse me and seem to change every couple of years. Also, if anyone has an idea of what a 7-day license cost and maybe what an annual license costs (we're going up again for a week end of July) that would be helpful.
Tried to look on the 'net quickly this past weekend, but stumbled around a bit and got bored, so I'm looking to this group for insights and understanding.

Hi T-Bone, as of last year the weekly cost for a license was $49.50-US, yearly was $78.50-US.

If your making a few trips ,then definitely buy the annual license.

Some outfitters include the room tax in their prices while others charge for it. Room tax is $3.50 per night per cabin regardless the number of occupants.
Taxes in Quebec are 5% GST and 9.975% QST.
If you're going to do more than one fishing trip into La Belle Province (Quebec), an annual licence is the way to go.
