I just saw a trip report with someone on their 40th year coming to Kipawa and was stunned at that dedication and tradition kept alive. I would love to see everyone chime in with their total number of years. I'll start
31 years this year for me...I think I missed two years in 2007 and 2008, but went twice in 1988 so I'm only down 1 ;D
Nothin' compared to you guys. About 3 or 4 yrs in the 80's and 7 yrs since I got my camp.
Just a novice on the lake - only 14 years.
Jay
This year will mark 20 years...this will be our second year with 2 trips in one year. Keep 'em coming...
This will be my 24th year. Can't wait to get there!
This will be year 26 for me on lake Dumoine.
I believe this is my 13th year but a couple years I went twice and I missed one year.
11 years for me. You guys make me jealous with multiple visits a year. Maybe some day.
This year is my 40th year. I've done everything from camping in snow storms to getting lost late at night in thick fog. I wouldn't trade all the memories and friends I have met for anything. :)

Rico, you were the inspiration for this thread. 40 years is amazing. I don’t know your age, but I wish another 40 more for you!
I started late, 18 out of last 22. I was 50 on the first trip.
C.C.
This year is 8 for me, unless my memory is missing a year (I have been known to make a mistake on occasion).
Dog; double check my number.

Thank you so much Hodgey1. I'm 66 so I would love another 40 years. ;D ;D
20 years, but not 20 trips. This year will be our 13th trip to Kipawa.
2000, 2001, 2005, 2007, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017 and 2018. 2019 trip in less than two weeks 😁😁😁😁. We always stay at Two Moon Lodge. Have had three different owners with the current ones being our favorite by far
Bought my camp in 2012 so 7 years but I go just about every weekend. I average about 15-17 weekends a year.
My cousins and I have been getting together for May Long Weekend fishing since 1977....Lake Temiscamingue, Rabbit Lake area and now Kipawa.
We bought our camp in 2004 but we lived in the area for a while a few years before that.
17 years and counting. Missed 2 years due to military duty though.
29 years for me total but missed actually 8 years straight as this was my first time back to Kipawa since fall 2011. Total of 42 weeks or a little less than 2% of my life has been spent at Kipawa... Hmm seems short when you think about it that way... but the memories will last a lifetime..
My dad has been going for 56 years but had missed maybe a dozen years scattered here and there for various reasons but he went and goes between 2-4 times per year still..
I have been coming to Kipawa Lake since 1983. Started when I was 33 years old. For the past 5 years I now come 2 weeks a year. My 2nd week is coming up this Saturday June 22. Next year I would like to do a fall week.

This September will be my third fall trip, perfect weather each time.
20 years and as soon as I get home can't wait for the next year. maybe soon I'll add a 2nd trip per year.
This will be our (my husband getthenet and I) 30th year going to Kipawa. All at 3 Seasons. One year we made 2 trips. One in July and one in September. For about the last 15 years we have been staying for 2 weeks.

This is 10 for you
@SgtCrabby (according to our Hook, Line & Drinker blog...your first trip was in 2008 with 2 USA trip years in there)
This will be my 14th year dating back to 1979 (first year)
Although
@Dog, those first 2 years were to Lake Evelyn in Ontario (but TBL is almost closer to that lake than TBL is to Lake Ogascanan.). So in a way, we're both correct.
Actually, if you want to count years of Canadian fishing; I have a year in 1971 in Quetico Provencal Park (Ontario side of the Boundary Waters Canoe area). Paddled my tail off that year ...
So 8 in Kip, 11 in Canadian waters for me.
3 generations 64 years
I like your response
@crackers42 so I'll follow suit:
Also 3rd generation, 43 years
Haven't fished it in a while though :'(
Having bin to lake kipawa since for 19 years
Deb and I went annually from 2003 thru 2014 and also in 2016 and 2018 1 trip with my son in 2001 so all adds up to 15 years and hope to get back in 2020!
Been Kipawa bound for 37 years straight. Love it. Alwaki Lodge every time. Twice a year a lot. It is a disease!
Have bin going to Kipawa since 1999
Never been to Kipawa. Living next Sunday for our 4th trip to Ogascanan.

I have the same disease, it’s contagious!
This will be the tenth year for my son and I. We have recruited a few additional fisherman to join us now to experience Kipawa at TBL.
