Title: Dry ice
Post by: Oarin on June 25, 2019, 12:23:29 PM
Is there a place in Temiscaming to buy dry ice? If not Temiscaming, how about North Bay? Thanks,

I'm waiting on a good answer myself.   I have a long way to go when I leave,  and bags of 'wet' ice just isn't good enough for my needs.

Hi Gary,

You're most likely aware but just in case:

Store dry ice in a cooler â€" proper storage of dry ice is to place it in an insulated cooler with the lid loosely closed. Make sure the lid is loose and do NOT use an airtight container, like we recommend for food, because the build up of carbon dioxide gases as the dry ice subliminates could cause the container to burst and send sharp pieces of plastic flying in all directions!

Thanks,Chazz. Jay, it's for my friend, Jim. He and his friend from South Carolina are going to make a stop over on the way home from TBL and don't want their fish to thaw. I'll make sure he knows what you said. Thanks, Gary.
