Not that it changes anything for myself (or many others on here), but I read a snippet pertaining to MLB and the Blue Jays that stated the Canadian Govt plans to drop the mandatory requirement for people entering Canada by the end of September.
Is this what Canadians are hearing as well?
If so, I wonder if it’ll make our annual ArriveCAN registration also fall by the wayside….
I heard that as well and I'm pretty sure there was something about dropping or diminishing the arrive Canada app as well. Now that PP has won the PC leadership Turdeau is hearing all the clamour and is having to back off as he knows he's losing a lot of support. About darn time.
Here we go, just saw this on FB. https://tnc.news/2022/09/20/vaccine-mandate-arrivecan/
Thanks smitty55.
I didn’t think ArriveCAN was a “burdenâ€. Just wished I could fill it out a week or two in advance, not a couple days.
That’s right in timeframe I’m swamped at work preplanning for being off, finishing packing, and mind is drifting to fishing lures and spots. Lol
Sorry
Tough day

The outfitters will love it :) :)
Looks to be a done deal!!

All Covid requirements were completely removed 30 September and things are back to normal like it was before Covid started. This came from the American Embassy release.
Yes all covid requirements coming into Canada are removed as of Oct 1
But what about a Canadian going to the USA?
What are requirements?
From what I have been told you still need vaccination
Its odd that one is different than other
Yes, a Canadian will still need proof of vaccination.
It’s not Canada. It’s always been our southern neighbors. (And their southern neighbors and so on….)
Ever since Covid came about, if Biden allowed any form of entry from the north that did not match what he gave the south, 1/2 his own political party would deem that racist actions favoring our white brothers to the north.
That’s what Americans do. If there’s something to fight, bicker, bitch, moan, and/or complain about… we fight, bicker, bitch, moan, and complain.
Even if Canada’s vax rates blew our southern neighbor’s rates outta the water.
It’s all been done away with and ever is back to normal
Is it really necessary to get into the nasty politics on here. I thought this was a fishing forum not a political forum…

A Fishing Forum with….
A General Discussion tab.
And also a Fishing Discussion tab.
This is under General Discussion. A place where people from same/different countries can discuss topics not directly related to jigs and lures being in the water.
Since the onset of Covid, the border talk on here has been about Americans heading north. Indeed, Canadian politics played a huge role in that.
But I reckon you were ok with that discussion…. Correct? Because you wanted to know when you could cross and head north.
A member merely inquired about requirements for Canadians coming south. And yes, also has always been politically driven on our side as well.

This post is accurate and was good until it continued past the first sentence...the rest is simply inflammatory.
Hi All,
Lots of passionate discussions about this, but lets respect all other's opinions.
As the admin, I have received direct messages and contact through other channels from members about this thread getting a little out of hand... so I am going to do my usual "UNITED NATIONS" approach and ask everyone to accept the world has different perspectives on the same topic... let's get back to dreaming about everyone's next trip to Kipawa and holding your favourite fishing rod, jigging at your favourite shoal, with loons singing in the distance, and the sun setting over the tree-line to the west with a cold beverage on the seat beside you.
I'm in a work/management off-site the next three days so will check in on any messages when I can, direct message me any objections.
Your friendly neighbourhood... you know the rest. 8)
Well said....thanks Greg

I did not mean for this thread to get shut down
I posted in the "General Discussion" area
Sorry for any issues it caused
Sorry you got caught up Greg.
I myself did type the words fight, bicker, bitch, moan and complain.
I should’ve assumed there’d be some running to the Admin…..
By no means was my intention to be “simply inflammatoryâ€.
It’s basic American knowledge the vast disparity of border agents per mile at our southern border compared to our northern border.
The ambiguities of why that is, plus the contentiousness of Covid, well going forward I’ll just let Canadians use Google if they wish to know why their timelines coming south have been slower than ours heading north since August ‘21.
Again, sorry.
I apologize for asking that we try to leave the international politics out of it.
It's all good guys, forget the apologies... no worries... just trying to set what I think are reasonable boundaries on a friendly fishing forum!
Hope everyone is good!
