Title: Parking for week?
Post by: Magicmike on May 16, 2023, 08:57:51 PM
Heading to alwaki lodge early June just wondering best and safest place to launch and park?
Was trying to find how to pay for parking online but no luck is there a app or website for kipawa?
Thanks so much for any info

We have always done business at the Govt dock w/no issues.  Whether launched our own boats or used taxi service.
Park vehicles and trailers directly across road from Govt dock, have for decades.  It was around $25 for just a vehicle for a week last year, no trailer.  So add a bit for trailer if you park there.
Always been a cash only lot to best of my knowledge.

Across from Bucher's there's a lot...pay with QR code from your phone.

Off on a tangent -

First I've heard of Bucher's. Is it where Kipawa bait & tackle once was? We picked up our leeches there for our first trips to Ogascanan. She closed, so we've been using ProNature shop.

No...it's around the corner further toward the gas station in Kipawa. Big building is on left...lot just past that on left. Pay at building. If you go up the hill and hard turn right toward Gaz you've gone too far.

@Ira

Just past the Bait shop like TBone described, Bucher's is the marina on your left and right.

If it looks like your driving through a boat scrapyard, you're at Bucher's!

Good place to pick up leeches? A bit out of the way, as opposed to ProNature. Worth the trip?

I think Pronature is the only option in town.

Order ahead.

Trapper Joe's by Trout Lake if you're coming from the North Bay direction.

That's been out plan the past few years (since Kipawa B & T closed). Will be making a call in the next few weeks.

Thanks.
