Does the Northern part of Kipawa have weed beds? I know some lakes in that area are very sparse as far as weeds go.
Jeff
I have never found any weed beds at the north end
I suspected that RHYBAK, I want to try to catch some pike while at 3 Seasons August 9th to the 15th.
Jeff
go into the back lakes
Thank you RHYBAK, that isn't going to be the main focus. But I would love for the Wife to land a nice Northern. My biggest was 38.5 inches and a skinny 6 pounds. I would like to top that myself.
Jeff
Very few weed beds in the central/east side either. Sunnyside, Hunter, Audoin, Butney etc
Just because there's no weed beds doesn't mean there's no pike.
Pike roam looking for an opportunistic meal. My advice is to troll the shorelines in 10-17 FOW with big crankbaits. I'm talking the 7 inchers that look like muskie baits.
No weed beds....probably why you never see moose on the shoreline too.
Thank you for the information limacharley.
Jeff
There definitely are weed edges in the far north part of the lake. Chemagan and Moose Bay. But not a big amount
Thank you Jchupp12, I will check them out.

Are you talking about the shorelines covered with Bullrushes or actual underwater weed beds?
@RHYBAK Underwater weed beds, I know there isn't a lot of weeds from the very limited time I have on the lake.
