Title: Tackle Boxes
Post by: Jay Thomas on January 09, 2015, 04:55:35 PM
Hi Norton Joe:

I saw your post asking for suggestions for a new tackle box. I decided to start a new topic rather than bury any discussion of tackle boxes in the what did Santa bring thread.

I purchased a new tackle box last spring in preparation for the fly in trip I did to Lac Hebert. I wanted something smaller and lighter than my old tackle box but a new tackle box still had to allow me to bring what I needed. I purchased a model 1155 Plano satchel type tackle box. You can view this model at http://www.basspro.com/Plano-1155-Satchel-Box/product/1410021735/

I've enjoyed this tackle box on two trips now. I have not gone back to using my previous tackle box. However, I do believe I will have to treat this new tackle box with some TLC to get it to last. As well, with this smaller lighter tackle box, I also have to take a small soft sided container to bring along marker buoys, bottom bouncers, swim baits, worm harnesses, boga grip, fish scale, gloves etc. On drive in or boat in trips, I always bring a boat bag which typically contains rain gear, personal flotation device, transducer holder, first aid kit, toilet paper and all the stuff from the soft sided bag mentioned earlier.

Funny you posted that.  I purchased the same one(different color)earlier today. They on sale at Bass Pro for less than $15.
