Title: Skype Group
Post by: Administrator on February 09, 2015, 07:18:43 PM
In the early days of the forum, there was some interest in a forum chat. I have tried to download an app for that on more than one occasion and there seems to be something within the forum that isn't compatible with the group chats. So I have checked into setting up a Skype group chat, and that doesn't seem to be a problem. Just wondering how much interest we would have with a Skype group? If you do not have Skype on your computer, it is easy to download and free.

I have skype, we use it all the time for work and it works great.

I'm not opposed to it, just curious what we would use it for? What's on your noodle?

Interesting but also undecided. Inspite of your troubles downloading one, a simple text chat is adequate. Just for talking with whom ever is on line.

You know, @Dog, after I put this post up, I gave it more serious thought and am concerned that it may take away from the forum and with the ability to PM who you want for whatever the reason, not sure about the value of the Skype group. One thing I do not want to happen is for it to adversely effect the forum.

I probably wouldn't be as prone to use the skype feature. I'm not against it, but when I sit down at the computer and read or post in the forum it's usually to get some quiet time and get away from all the noise... Just my 2 cents!
