This post is off subject but for what it's worth, just finished a book titled "North To Cree Lake" by A.L.Karras.About two brothers during the depression ,not able to find work decided to live, trap ,hunt, fish the bush area of Cree Lake,Saskatchewan. While reading I thought how easy it would be to swap Cree Lake,Saskatchewan for Lake Kipawa,Quebec.A non fiction book that sure sounds like the Kipawa area could have been 75-100 years ago.A quick read that would get your Kipawa juices flowing.Give it a try and see if you agree. For what it's worth.

Sitting 3-feet from me on my nightstand. My kind of book. Haven't cracked into it yet, but will put it to the front of the list. Just finishing Houseboat Chronicles by Jake MacDonald...again...for like the 3rd time. Previous to that...Last Resort by Linwood Barclay...again also...for like the 4th time. Good stuff.
I'll let you know what I think...
Looking up Houseboat Chronicles and Last Resort on amazon right now !!! Thanks, let you know !
@getthenet, I wouldn't call those adventures...but great in their own way. One of my favorite adventures is the Indian Creek Chronicles by Pete Fromm. And if you haven't yet, read Kipawa River Chronicles...I've read that multiple times also.
I"ll check them out ! Thanks,T-Bone !
