Title: Dead Minnows on Kipawa
Post by: Legend on May 14, 2015, 09:27:52 AM
Though we typically don't use them, we are considering picking up some dead minnows for still fishing lake trout. I had heard something about the rules on minnows changing or their use being banned altogether. Can anybody fill me in on the rules surrounding their use? It would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks!

The way I understand it the minnows must come from the area you will be using them and you MUST have the sales slip for them with you.

That sounds pretty easy to do.

Thanks!

baitfish rules per zone, Lake Kipawa is zone 13 (I believe)

You can fish with dead minnows, they must be purchased in the province of Quebec and you must retain your receipt to show proof of purchase. Bought some from Corina at Kipawa Bait today. Good Luck!
