I want to thank everyone for your input. We always go in June, but it looks like we will be going sometime the last of July. If you have any advice re: the fishing in late July or first of August, your advice would be helpful. Thanks again everyone.
We go around the end of july or first part of august to Ogascanan. The walleye in the morning and evening are in the 8' to 10' range. During the day if it is cloudy we fish 17 to 25 feet of water, if it is sunny we fish for pike, that is our passion anyway.

Of my 17 trips to Lake Kipawa (all at 3 Seasons Camp), about half were during the last week of Jun while the others were mid Aug or even into Sep. As far as I'm concerned, walleye fishing is walleye fishing - you just have to find them (locations and depths). Consequently, good electronics help immensely. Our group always bottom bounced to find walleyes and if we found large enough pods, we'd anchor and jig. We'd also regularly visit the fish cleaning house to learn what was being caught, where the walleye were being caught and how. The weather will have the biggest impact on your trip. Regardless, just remember to enjoy yourself. After all, you and your friends will be sharing a slice of paradise

Our regular time to go to Watson/Grassy is at the end of July or beginning of August. Generally, we find trolling in 10'-12' works in morning or evening (sometimes we will drift and jig at the same depth). We usually don't try midday and just have fun casting for pike...not that they aren't around midday, it just happens to be our pike fishing time.
We didn't get up last year, but are scheduled for the July 4th again this season. We usually catch the walleye jigging with worms or leeches anywhere for 6feet to 25 feet of water. We kind of get board jigging and catching so many so we start to troll after the 3rd day. We troll everything from worm harnesses to normal crankbaits(live target perch or silver blue are my favorite) Also deep diving crankbaits. We troll shorelines but will also get out in 80 ftw and flat line with split shots on it. We get better size trolling, just not as many. We will be at Alwaki this year if your up in that area cabin 5. If on water I will be driving a new black lund with 90 merc on back. Good luck

I LIKE THE LAST WEEK OF JULY OR FIRST WEEK IN AUG. MOST OF THE TIME WE TROLL 10-15 FEET.
