Nice pickeral amazing how dark it is I've got a few that were almost black. Others that are almost a florescent green. Same with smallies. Sometimes i wonder if it's just from where they choose to live.
Some more pics from our trip last season.

Gotta love that view from the outpost cabin!
Forgive my ignorance, is that TBL outpost?
Looks gorgeous..........
It really is an awesome cabin and view. 6 miles from anyone else at camp.(http://i59.tinypic.com/987ipk.jpg)
It also has a really nice pike lake just for the outpost. Caught a 31 incher last time we fished it.
Wow.......love it!
nice
It was nice to see Mark. Gonna miss that guy!
Me too Rich, we spent 30 some years working together, and 24 straight years going to Quebec. He taught me most of what I know about walleye fishing. Capt. Guy was a true friend.(http://i61.tinypic.com/2i1fcbd.jpg)
I've gotta ask...
What's the deal with 'keeping' the smallmouth bass? To eat? I could understand maybe culling them from the lake, but with walleye and pike at your disposal, I would gauge eating bass would line up with serving up ground chuck next to kobe steak. I'm not an aficionado on eating fish or anything, but whenever eating bass is mentioned around people I know that love fish, they always make a sour face.
Smallmouth taste fine. Certainly not on the same level as walleye, but still good. If you soak the fillets in milk for a couple hours it will improve the taste a little bit too. I usually beer batter the fillets with plenty of old bay mixed in with the batter.
