Just to let everyone know the store in Laniel will only be open on weekends for May and June.

Thank you for the information riverrat. I just heard a rumor that they may not open the store at all this year. I hope all is well with Jacque and Silvy, I enjoy seeing them when we head up to Kipawa, such nice people. Not to mention the convenience of having a store in Laniel.

The store is only open weekends for May and June so if you need your license its better to stop in Temiscaming. The closest Variety store is in Fabre. Just means better planning.

The store is still not open as of yesterday. There is no sign of activity. There is a large for sale sign. I couldn't find the owners. This now has created a couple of probblems:

1. You have to get your fishing license in Temicaming on the way up.

2. There is no gas for sale in Laniel. There is no gas in Fabre right now until the new station opens in early July. So between Temiscaming and Ville Marie there is no gas to be had. The outfitters have gas for their own businesses only
