Title: Public Launches
Post by: pikebuster on August 29, 2016, 09:50:55 PM
Hi Guys,

I plan on a late summer trip to Kipawa and I would like to try the top end of the lake and I was wondering if there are any public launch ramps in that area ...Location and directions would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

    P.B.

I would call Taggart Bay Lodge and ask if they offer boat launching at their docks.

yes, thats right. I even called the convenience store next to the laniel launch and they confirmed it is cement. They also sell fishing licenses and beer at the store there 8-)

There is a public launch at TBL and Lanel so pick you fishing spot to choose your launch site.  Many miles by water between the two even though only a couple of miles by land.

There is also a nice cement launch at http://www.kipawaoutpost.com/
They will let you use it if you pay parking for $10 a day. I usually do that, then nothing to worry about. They also rent boats, cottages, camping, and docks much cheaper than anyone else in the area. I have been there twice, nice people with reasonable prices.

Paul (@kipawa outpost) is an awesome dude, long standing fixture in the area.
Makes awesome flying videos over the area too:
