With my issues getting on this site lately I just wanted to check with others if the old site Kipawa.net seems to no longer exist as it appears on my end. It would be a shame if all the info, and history that was on that site was lost. It would have been great to merge that info here if that were possible.

What brought this up, was there was an environment Canada website that I could search and it would give snowfall on ground totals along with many historical values that I enjoyed looking at each year that was linked to the old site. I will keep looking. I'm sure it's still out there somewhere.

It has been gone for about 4 or 6 weeks here. I would say this time is forever.

I was a moderator on the Kipawa.net board for a while and the webmaster would respond to my e-mails even when he did not often respond to others (probably felt sorry for a poor old fisherman). Anyway, I have sent him an e-mail inquiring about the fate of the site and the reports it contained. If I hear anything back from him, I will share it here.
Thank you Commander! It sure would be a shame if everything that was on that site would be lost... so much history there

I just checked and the Kipawa.net discussion board is active again. Perhaps the webmaster let the domain expire by accident. Regardless, the site seems to have returned and is there for us to reference.
I'm thinking someone should cut and paste some/most of that info here maybe start a new heading for it that way should that site die we can at least save that stuff and reference here.

You want a hoot...go find the archived chronicles of Kipawa.net and read some of the banter from that board. Whoa! Lot of characters out there...some of which are still "here" today.
Before anyone copies and pastes the kipawa.net board over here. Someone would need to reach out to the admin of the other board to get his OK. I actually would prefer it be in written form with a signature. I very much agree with what you are saying and all the history over there. But it also is my neck on the line here. If we were to do this, I would want it cleared by the other admin.
I am not 100% certain how the legalities are with this being an open forum. It may not be as critical as my concerns are. I just don't have the time or money to get involved in a lawsuit. I would think with as little interest as the other admin seemed to have lately, it wouldn't matter, but we do live in a crazy world.
Just keep me posted how this proceeds.

My personal intent was to mainly collect old pictures etc of the area, copying text over would be too long a process then I could commit to.
I haven't started doing anything but if the time comes that I do, I will be sure both the admin of the old board and you (being the admin of this board) are fully aware and in agreement before anything actually happens. Sorry for any stress or concern I may have caused with my off the cuff statement above.
