Title: Redpine outfitters
Post by: Mlambert on January 27, 2017, 01:18:31 PM
Does anyone know what happened with the lodge that was once Landriault Outfitters?  I know it was taken over a few years ago and renamed Redpine lodge or something like that.  I hear it no longer exists.  Anyone with any details?

Is that not Reggie's old family resort?

He would know what is going on with it.

Actually, it was Landriault that got renamed, Red Pine Outfitters then got abandoned.  Not Reggies old camp, it was Claude and Lucille's camp for many years

Just to add a little, Christophe bought Laundriault outfitters and then a few years later he also purchased part of the old Mackenzie camp near Red pine Chute. with the hopes of the mine going in. Hence the name Red Pine Falls. The mine didn't happen so now the old Mackenzie camp also sits empty. Too Bad!!

Don't know Christophe, but like anyone with a single name (see Bono, Sting, Madonna, Rhybak) he must be one bad whamma'jamma.

So...anyone know if Christophe is looking to sell any of his abandoned assets or is he just feeding them to the bush?

169...and going stir crazy...

over-winTer-Bone.

Reggie's Dad and Mother started their own outfitting business at the Landriault Outfitters location many moons before Claude and Lucille bought the place (not from Reggies Dad). I believe Reggie's Dad sold the place due to poor health to 3 engineers from Toronto who had a dream of owning an outfitting business. Over the next several years, the place deteriorated for whatever reasons. Eventually the 3 engineers sold the place to Claude and Lucille Landriault. They successfully ran Landriault Outfitters there for almost 15 years.

Like T-bone, I would be interested in finding out if Christophe is looking to sell any of his abandoned assets.  Having a place on Kipawa would be a great reason to go more than once a year :)

Good luck trying to contact that Guy. It was hard enough when he was running the camp. Or should I say "trying to run it"???

T-Bone, we're all going stir crazy and have cabin fever. How about posting some of your pictures from last year's Alwaki trip? They're always really good and I would love to see them. 5 more months!!!

Too long for what? The bush to consume it and render it worthless?

Maybe you're just keeping the info for yourself to keep other bidders out. Hmmm? Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm?

[just kidding - - I'm in no position to buy a place on a lake that only has water access and is about 760 miles away from home]

;D

Never mind on the pictures, I found the website for Red Pines. Cabins looked nice.

The camp must have been sitting empty for about 5 years I would think.  The last time I ran into Laudreit was at the Toronto Sportsman Show.  Have you seen what happens to a camp that's been left to rot on Kipawa lol.  Its not good.  I have seen quite a few over the years.  I am sure I will find out more at The Toronto Sportsman Show in a couple of weeks.  I understand there will be at least 4 out fitters from Kipawa.  I will be helping one of them for a few days.
