Title: Help with boat storage
Post by: Bearheartraven on May 13, 2017, 08:33:14 AM
Good Morning,

14 days and counting. I am planning two trips to Laniel area this season separated by approximately 10 days. I am looking for someone that would consider allowing me to store my trailered boat on their property between trips. I would be happy to pay a reasonable parking/storage rate as I'm sure it would be worth the savings in gas not having to tow the boat back and forth. If you have any ideas, suggestions, or interest in helping -- Please share. I would not be opposed to travelling anywhere around the lake to accomplish the same. Tight lines folks!

Are you staying with an outfitter?  If so is it the same one both trips?  I have left my boat at the lake where we go between trips, once for a month.  They put my boat back in the lake the day before we arrived so it was ready to go.

That would make for a quick easy connection. No, camping both trips. Love to be on the lake in a tent, we use a cabin tent with a wood stove and live comfortably.

Check with the gas station/store in Laniel. There's an area behind his store that might work.

Call before you go.  I am sure there are people on this board that has their phone number ( like 600 miles north ).

I would suggest you contact Taggart Bay Lodge - see http://www.taggartbaylodge.com/          Yves has two very large areas where clients park their vehicles and/or trailers.
Perhaps you can make an arrangement.

I believe Kipawa Bait has a parking lot across the street from the store where they rent storage spots.

The folks at Miwapanee Lodge used to offer a storage service like you're looking for.
Call James up and see what he can do....
