Since the day I was born I've always been a Browns fan; born and raised in suburban Cleveland and have always gone to the games consistently even up to this day. I've never been ashamed of it and have never hidden my allegiance. Every other team is 'The Enemy'.

Today I live in Columbus where there is a good majority of Browns fans, but also some Bengals fans and a smattering of Spittsburgh fans. It depends on how those teams perform as to whether you see (or hear) their fans or not. If the Bungles are winning they all come out of the woodwork shouting 'Who Dey' and that 'Welcome to the Jungle' BS. Squeelers fans are typically confident and boorish...strut around like peacocks spitting "Luv 'ya Black n Gold." Makes me want to upchuck. They're a vocal bunch..."One more for our Big Toe" or whatever babble they dribble. But like Bungles fans, when the Squeelers lose a few games, all the jerseys and gear come off and their fans get awfully humble. It's easy to root for a team that wins way more than they lose. Try standing by a team that loses all the time...and every Browns fans recognizes the futility, but it changes nothing about who they root for.

For all the Bengals and Steelers fans out here...sorry for the rant....but I hope they lose every game they play this year other than splitting their AFC Central division games.  ;D

GO BROWNS!!!

[that ought to stir things up]

Dallas Cowboys, ever since I was a kid - remember the Tom Landry (coach) days?  Roger Staubach & Danny White at QB?

I don't follow as closely as I used to, but always look for their stats.

T-bones rant to the contrary, I don't think the Steeler fans are fair weather as they wear the garb year round. I only own two pieces of Steeler merchandise, a Polamalu Jersey because my daughter got It for me and a terrible towel because ,well,  because. I don't get all worked up as a Steelers fan but try not to let them ruin my Sundays, although I don't imagine they have ruined as many of mine as the Brownies have ruined T bones. We do have to thank Ohio for Ben and for the Browns not picking him in the draft as they may have picked before the Steelers. All that said, I feel for the Browns fans and can relate... We have the Pirates... Theres 38 years of futility...

Dallas Cowboys - no surprise there.
@Greg, I didn't think someone else here liked da 'boys.  You do have the 1st coach and a pair of QBs correct.

@RHYBAK ; I like your name for the acronym , a buddy of mine says it stands for the National Felons League  (he's also a Browns fan)...

Exactly what I was sayin'...

It's so transparent...every time.  ;D

Good luck to all teams...except those that aren't the Browns....

Crabby s buddy is pretty much dead on..slogan should be "making millionaires out of Criminals for over 50 years. "I prefer college to the pros and yes, T bone , Penn State. I think the best thing to do to forget the Browns may be to go fishing again in Kipawa.. Have a good trip.

I feel safe living in the Cleveland area being a Bears fan since the Browns and Bears typicaly only play in the meaningless 4th preseason game.  May even convert some Browns fans into Bears fans this year since the Bears drafted local quarterback #2.  Hope the Bears can win more than 3 games this year, which will be a couple more than the Browns.  Da Bears!

Not easy being a Bears fan either, but every one I've met who is a Bears fan is died-in-the-wool true to their team allegiance...unlike some other teams' fans I know.... ::)

Keep your eye on my Browns this year...we may just turn a corner. Then again, maybe we won't.  ;D ;D ;D

Here we go.  I've been a Browns fan since about the 4th grade. Most football fans under 70 years old are clueless about how dominate the Browns were and how awful Pittspuke was.  Yeah I know, the times have changed and so have the results. I barely remember Otto Graham but Frank Ryan, Milt Plum, those were the quarterbacks back then when the Browns were King!  The greatest running back of all time was Jim Brown. Franco Hairless couldn't hold his athletic supporter. Coach Paul Brown was way ahead of his time. Just like life, sports teams have cycles and the Browns happen to be in a very long down cycle, but today, there's hope. We'll see what happens this year. Ya know, Worthlessberger is getting long in the tooth!  I'm wondering how many fans of other teams would still be as loyal as Brown's fans after about 50 years of grief.   Go Browns!

Love'em or hate'em....Imagine where the Browns would be today had they kept Bill Belichek as coach.
Look what he's done to the Pats. I think he's the brains behind the whole system. The Pats used to be a mediocre team.

I would have to agree with this.

My son, his girlfriend and I are driving down to FLA for Xmas and we've got tickets to see the Pats vs The Steelers on Dec 17.
Anybody in the Pennsylvania area also going to the game?

Wow; 4 very good entertaining games this weekend in the Divisional Round. Only 4 teams left.....pick'em?

Patriots or Jaguars and  Vikings or Eagles.

I think New England is poised to win another Super Bowl.

I have to agree LimaCharley (NE poised to win ...again).    That is honestly not what I want to see (simply because they have been dominate the last several years).

I'd like to see Jaguars pull some big upsets...

Yes...some very good games. Nice to see some teams win that usually don't...and then there are the Patriots. I'd like to see Minnesota win, I guess...any of the other teams would be fine with me also.

I really don't care who wins at this point, as long as it won't be the Squeelers I'm good...and I know for sure it won't be the Squeelers.  ;D

Just like my Browns...sitting home for Super Bowl. Welcome to Brownstown...

I have to agree with Greg.
And have the big game between Jaguars and Vikings.

@T-Bone,  how long since the Browns made it into the playoffs?
Title: Re: NFL

2007 I think...maybe 2005....who knows...not recently. That's why the collection of teams not going to the Super Bowl it's called Brownstown...we're always there...other teams just visit.

And if I'm not mistaken, I hear the clear and familiar rhetoric of a Squeelers fan in there...

"Yeah...we may have lost, but how many Super Bowls do you have?" "How many times have you been to the playoffs in the last decade?" "At least we have the Three Bs, what do you have?" Consistent.

Somehow Sarge I thought you were a Dallas fan...maybe I am wrong on that...

191...

I am a Dallas fan.  They've gotten into playoffs a few times (one and outs).  But have missed the big game for quite a few years also (sigh).

I actually only knew it's been awhile too (Kosar years?,   Aikman yrs here).

HA HA HA HA HA!!! It's been since the Kosar years, but only once since the team "came back". I think it was 2007. Doesn't matter...one and done and not back since. Futility. I've turned my focus to golf now that the new year is upon us....and, of course, Kipawa.  ;)

I thought it had to be in the Kosar years.
He came down here for a year as a backup to our "O-No" Romo at the end of his playing career. I've heard some questioned who should have been the starter or the backup.

I never did acquire a fondness for golf, but know many who do.

Well season is over, what a great game last night!  Seeing the Eagles pull it out and go toe to toe (and drive to drive) to win by such a small margin was fantastic.

How many times can you say the super bowl had you intensely interested from start to finish...

I'm ok with every single one of my predictions going wrong... lol

Good thing I didn't bet any $$.

I agree Greg- entertaining from start to finish.

The question now is: Will Tom Brady sign up for another year? Not bad for a 6th round pick.
