Title: Fickle Weather
Post by: T-Bone on September 29, 2017, 09:23:06 AM
Looks like Mattie and I were there a week early; the high today in Kipawa is 49F with a light rain....low of 36F. Nice. I guess timing is everything...and we jumped the gun a little.

I saw @Nancy stated the weather was "gorgeous" for their trip. I'm not entirely sure how weather works as they were only about 20 miles by the crow to our east, but I guess like anything beauty (or 'gorgeous') is in the eye of the beholder. Give me 55F and a light rain, then mid-30s at night like it is now up there.

I wish autumn would arrive already...dag...

Yeah, @T-Bone, you are exactly right. Beauty is in the eyes of the beholder. We saw what the weather was going to be when we decided to go. John had a heart attack nearly ten years ago, and he says he has only been warm or hot 6 days since, one of them being last week. As for me I just prefer hot summer weather. I did love the gorgeous weather last week although it is not highly conducive to walleye catching. But we thought it was a beautiful time to enjoy and be on the the lake. On second thought, most anytime is a great time to be on the lake. ;)

Agreed on that. Glad you enjoyed a safe and successful trip. We can hardly wait for next autumn.

TB, move to Erie Pa and you can experience weather as you described "49 light rain, low 36" 6 months out of the year  ;)
