Checked the weather tonight for Kipawa and it had a air quality warning from forest fires?

There are 3 separate, fairly large forest fires burning around Lake Temagami currently, which is almost straight west of Lake Kipawa. Wind is currently blowing from west to east, so that is likely where the warning stems from.

All told there was something like 73 individually named fires south of Temagami, with 29 of them not under control. Highway is shut down. This was yesterday. Temagami is under evacuation and power has been shut down. They're telling everyone to go north. It's getting real scary out there. Water bombers are going full bore. One member on OFC is basically trapped on his island and spent many hours today hosing down his place and property.

Cheers

Sounds pretty scary. I saw the smog warning on the weather earlier today and just thought it was an error. Need to watch the news more.
