General Discussion / kipawa and ice fishing
Last post by ziggy6 - January 13, 2026, 02:16:17 PM
I know that ice fishing was prohibited in Kipawa years back due, from what I heard, to an attempt to help with the laker population.   Heard that there might be some discussion about revisiting the issue . I was curious if anyone has heard any news about this?    Thanks    Ziggy

From what I see on the Facebook group the calendars are not available for shipping, is this correct?

Merry Christmas everyone!
From Stu and Erin Dean at the Sunnyside camp.

Looks like the lake is starting to ice up around our docks.
The camp has been quiet with the exception of a few visitors...fox, deer etc.

Hope everyone stays warm, healthy and is able to make it up to paradise once again next year..

Cheers

Thanks for both suggestions!  Muskoka is obviously much closer, but I've always wanted to try Temagami too!  If my wife can get off when my son is on school break we might just jump on the opportunity.  The other tempting thing about Muskoka is that is where True North Log Homes is located.  We are planning on building or dream retirement home and I've been in touch with them, they've asked me to come up and tour the facility.  This could really end up being an expensive trip.  ;D
