General Discussion / Kipawa photos needed for 2026 ...
Last post by cmoreau - October 21, 2025, 11:37:14 AM

The Kipawa Lake Preservation Society is working on its 2026 Kipawa calendar but we need your help! We are in need of photos that showcase the natural beauty of the Kipawa area for all seasons. Photos should be high quality jpeg images in landscape format and submitted by the original photographer. For questions or to submit photos please email savekipawalake@gmail.com - please don't use the message feature here as I often don't receive the email notifications for messages in this forum and don't check it regularly enough to respond in a timely manner. Thank you!

Much appreciated.    We are used to fishing around Alwalki in the evening until dark.  Might have to call it quit before total  dark in order to get to the dock without hitting anything.

Thank you ozzy.    I was going to look for spots on my topo map this winter.    The areas you mentioned will give me a starting point.

I think Wayne supplies the camps with spot maps, being that early in the year fish are still moving and up by butneys and narrows into hunter will have moving water.  Points relating to these spots should be good.  Saying that after initial opening couple weeks the fishing does seem to get a bit tougher until they get on summer spots.

Hi guys.   After so many wonderful years at Alwaki Lodge it has come to an end.    Brian and Tina have sold off the rest of the camps.   Our group will be going to Kipawa Lodge for the first time.    We are familiar with Hunter and Grindstone.    We will be there next year the second week of June.    Any suggestions for walleye spots other than Grindstone would be appreciated.   Thanks in advance

FYI

Serge Gaudet, the owner/operator of Camp Coucoushee for many years passed away earlier this year. His son, Philippe, took over operations of Camp Coucoushee in 2022.

I checked with ZEC Kipawa today and received the following:

"Yes, Camp Coucoushee is still open. You can contact the owner, Mr. Philippe Gaudet, at 613-462-5792."
