The tree tunnels were the worst we have ever seen. We were told they had a heavy snow in early fall before the leaves dropped which then bent the trees so much and they don't straighten back. Did stop a couple times to move some branches.

And to T- bones question I have never been up to the old settlement but others have. Said it is a lot of rock foundations and metal stuff left around.

Glad you guys had a good trip. My son and I were at Grassy the week end before you for a quick trip. Hope you didn't scratch your truck up too much getting back there. We opened it up quite a bit on our way in and ran onto a couple other guys also cutting the overhanging trees out of the way.

Water temp shouldn't drop by then, most water depths around that end is 20-25ftw.  A lot of us on here fish that end so we can help out.

If you're buying new Garmin units, check the side of the box to see what mapping is included.

Thank you sir, will do for sure.....now just to find the time to actually use the boat haha

Fishing Discussion / Alwaki Fishing in Late August
Last post by BigChief - July 24, 2024, 11:10:25 AM
All,
We have lucked out and myself/my dad are getting a 2nd trip to Kipawa this year. We are going to Alwaki 22-25 August for a long weekend. We have never been to that part of the lake as we have only been to TBL and TML. We have also never been up there at that time of the year.
Looking for any recommendations of where to fish and how deep we need to be at that time. We are used to being in 10-15FOW.
If all goes well we may be in that area more often!!
