After staying home last year . We could not fit a Kipawa trip in. So Minnesota was the next best thing. We was able to get and August 3 entry permit for Brule lake .. We headed out on aug 1 to Chicago were We were treated to pizza and beer by Bens Father law. the next day off for Minnesota .  After picking up  the permits from the ranger station  and setting up camp for the night we took in a  little fishing . We all caught a few small  mouth bass . then called it a night . Packed up the cap and on to Brule lake the next am. loaded the canoe and off to find a camp site . Set up and back out fishing ,caught some bass for dinner , and called it a day Due to a fire ban we could no enjoy a nice camp fire, portage to several other lakes the next few days . and camped. We did not fish that hard and managed to have fish every day , Middle Con lake did turn out to be a good walleye lake . As with all good trips they end far to soon. The BWCA was nice but it was not a Kipawa  adventure . I will try to post some pics later .
