Thought pickerel season closed October 25th for Lac Kipawa but in the regs it looks like maybe Nov. 30th?  However, I will admit my comprehension of the Quebec fishing regs is limited. Can someone here please confirm.  I'll keep reading.  I think I'm reading the wrong info because it also says pike is still open?  Thanks

I concur with your interpretation that the regulations state that walleye season ends 30 Nov 2021 throughout all of Lake Kipawa.

However, you might want to check on the onslaught of early ice.

Jay, I'm going up this weekend and wasn't planning to fish as I thought it was closed.  Anyway, I have a license and if I get a nice day I might get one more day in and maybe a dinner!  I will double check at the sport store at the 4 way to make sure to be legal.  Thanks,  Kevin

was up last weekend, November 26-27-28, 2021  It was beginning to look a lot like Christmas. Small lakes and ponds all frozen up.  Shoreline on big lake was starting to freeze.  Never got the boat out but got some firewood cut.

That's sweet...good for you. I've always wanted to go up there in late-November right before ice-up; also would like to go up in middle-winter with all the snow and ice solid. Someday that will happen...just need to carve-out the time and commit.

T-Bone, you are right.  Time is tough to find but you'll never get it back.  In the summer, getting there late Friday afternoon and leaving Sunday afternoon seemed to give a nice weekend away but now with the shorter days, it was at least one day too short for the work to get the camp opened and warm and then re-winterizing to leave. Going to try to be there for New Year Eve.  Hopefully the ice comes in nicely by then on the big lake

Same. I spent last New Years at camp. It was a great experience that will become a tradition. Your right, life is short, get out onto the lake anytime you can. You will never regret it.
