Whatever happened to the conversation threads about Lac Ogascanan? Seemed like any discussion on this body of water has gone from a lot to zero in just a few years. Did the lodge there close down? Has fishing turned poor? I think Sgt Crabby/Dog used to go there for many years...but I guess the drive from Texas just turned to be too much.

Much of the discussion was from Nancy and , youre correct, Dog and crabby. I know the Lodge is still running as we talked to two guys going in for two weeks in June. Must not be members of the site.
So many lures and so little time.

we went in there 2 year ago.  Place was getting on pretty good.  main lodge was well kept, island outputs was immaculate as well, I would highly recommend this place.  The road going in is a pig though.  Just think twice about bringing your own boat.  I dragged a 19' lund Pro-V w/200H down that bush road, i think most thought i was crazy, but we did it.

The owners are 2 young guys and are VERY accommodating and helpful.  We caught loads of walleye, that lake is full of them.  We also tagged quite a few lakers and pike out trolling, so lots of fish there.  I found that it is mostly a night/morning bite there.  Kipiwa you can catch all day by just changing your area's/strategy.

If you go in, rent a boat so you don't have to worry about the road, but this lake is well worth it.

Ran into a father and his two sons at Tem Rose that were heading there, I was a bit envious.  Great place!  We were there for a few years and would probably still be there but some of the gang purchased boats and the trip became an issue. The lake is loaded with nice big walleye and pike are abundant. The Mullen family are great people as well. The trip in is tougher than Kipawa and you have to come prepared since there is no heading back to the dock to get something you forgot. Looking to go back again sometime soon.

Yo 'Bone,
Sorry, I've not been on in a long time.  We haven't been up to Kip since before the covid  pandemic and we all know no one was crossing the border during that time.
Now that that has settled down, it doesn't look like I will be making that drive for several years.   Med issues need addressed first.
Last time we went, I towed a 17 foot bass boat all the way from Texas;  everyone thought I was crazy.
