Okay everyone, when are you going and what is the one thing you are looking most forward to? Our group will be at Lake Watson July 20-27 this year.  At this point, eight of us going. And what am I most looking forward to?  That first evening on the water with a cold brew in one had and a fishing pole in the other. The sun starting to go  below the tree-line and the feel of that tug on the line. Can't wait.

My First group trip will be June 22-28.
I don't drink anymore so the cold beer means nothing to me.
My joy that time of year is watching my float go down time and time again .
Never get enough of that.
Be kinder than necessary, for everyone you meet is fighting some kind of battle

Hi @NortonJoe  I am extremely excited to get back to Kipawa as usual, but this year my first trip is going to be extra good. We will be at Miwapanee lodges, dead bear Bay cabin the week of July 27th. This year we are going to split the week with two of my kids and their families. So for the first part of the week it will be my oldest daughter and her kids with her husband and then the last part of the week will be my youngest daughter with her husband and children. So we will have multiple people with us, that have never been before. This makes it extra special to me, for them to see the splendor and beauty of this special place for the first time.

I am also very fortunate to have a second week booked in September. My wife and I have been doing this for quite a few years now and love it. So that trip will just be the two of us which makes for a very very relaxing week.

As far as what I am looking most forward to, hmmm, is it bad if it is a beer in one hand and my ars in a seat on the cabin porch? LOL. Tied for first place is definitely being on the water and the nibble of a eye on my hook!

With the poor ice conditions and lack of snow this past winter, I wasn't able to sled into the Hunter's narrows area to load up our campsite with dry firewood. My brother and I will boat in to accomplish this task and fish the lake trout opener April 26th weekend. Hope it's warm!

Periodically, we will camp at the narrows on weekends (Fri-Sun) until he's done teaching at the end of June then during the summer, the trips will be Friday to Monday. We do about 8 trips total.

Some of my friends from Huntsville rent a houseboat the weekend of June before Canada Day. We always join them for a fish fry.

And lastly, I rented the Dead Bear Bay lodge the week of August 24th to take a couple of my customers in for a week of fishing and to thank them for their business.

Looking forward to our July 20th visit at Smith Bay with my two closest friends.  We have had a rough year so far.  Two heart attacks, loss of a brother and jobs.  We just want to get away, drink some beer and do some fishing

Sorry to hear about such a rough year so far.
Sounds like a trip to Kipawa is just what the doctor ordered.
Wishing you and your friends get some perfect weather for your trip, and that your beer is cold everyday!
