Well another year and trip has come and gone. In short it was great. After 30+ years at this lake we are very comfortable there.
Its not easy to get there but when you do its a big lake with lots of options. We have been staying in cabin 4 the last several years and really enjoy this cabin on an island with its close proximity to a lot of the lake. The weather really cooperated after that super hot spell. No bugs !!!  One bad rain day, the most rain I have seen in a long time. Started about 9pm Saturday and straight hard rain until 6PM Sunday. We fished and did well but the others in the group struggled that day. My son got soaked but was a trooper since we were on the fish. Six of us went this year and we all had a blast. The fish really hit for everyone at one point or another. A lot of jigging. 10-15 ft was hot at the start but the last day 20+ was magic. Also trolling hotntots was working for all. We ate as much as we needed and brought home our limit. The drive up was easy and back was even better. Pulled up to the boarder at the Peace Bridge and for the first time ever NO line at all and this was like 3 PM.  I will post some pictures when I get a chance.   Thanks to Eric and the crew at Dumoine four another great experience. Our thoughts are with you all.

Glad that everyone in your party had an enjoyable time and had good fishing (at least one day!).  Great to hear your experience at the boarder was good.

August 3 is my check-in date at TBL. Looking forward to being on the lake!
Love fishing

We may have had a puckster sighting on the way out at Red Pine. Do you walk the road by the bridge in the morning wearing a green shirt and a Leafs hat. If so we pass you just before we hit the bridge and I said I think that's P G from the fishing forum. About 9-9:30 AM

Thanks for the report...sounds like a solid week. Have you ever ventured down to the old logging camp toward the south end of Dumoine? [I may have asked that before!  ??? ]

Glad you guys had a good trip. My son and I were at Grassy the week end before you for a quick trip. Hope you didn't scratch your truck up too much getting back there. We opened it up quite a bit on our way in and ran onto a couple other guys also cutting the overhanging trees out of the way.

The tree tunnels were the worst we have ever seen. We were told they had a heavy snow in early fall before the leaves dropped which then bent the trees so much and they don't straighten back. Did stop a couple times to move some branches.

And to T- bones question I have never been up to the old settlement but others have. Said it is a lot of rock foundations and metal stuff left around.
