Hello everyone!

Its been a while since i have posted any updates, so i will have a few.
During my camp closing trip this year i took the annual opportunity to enjoy the low water levels and walk the shoreline to the boiler.
I know it is somewhat of a landmark on the lake but with the gradual growth of the forest creeping closer soon this landmark will be swallowed up from sight.
First i should include a pic u found of what things used to look like.
I wish i had pictures going back a bit further, when i come across some i will update this post.

Amazing, any sign of a manufacturing date on the old boiler?

knuckles

Not sure of the date.
I am posting pics i took in 2022 that show the name etc better.
These ones also show the original wood better. The last picture kinda shows more how hard it is now to see it, even though that pucture npw has a coiple mpre seasons of growth around it.
Bit the manufacturer of the boiler is Waterous, they originated in Brantford Ontario.
I did a quick search of their name and location and there is definately info of the company online.PXL_20221009_200714349.jpgPXL_20221009_200733700.jpgPXL_20221009_200628172.jpgPXL_20221009_200620980.jpgPXL_20221009_200136960.jpg

We always take a close-up look at that old relic when we're up on the lake. When we first starting going to Kipawa in 2000, it was one of the few 'landmarks' we'd gauge our position by when out fishing in that area. Cool stuff! Thanks Stu....

Does anyone know what the boiler is doing there?
It was part of the logging industry I'm guessing. What was at Sunnyside exactly?
