Hi..Returned from 8 day stay with my wife at Alwaki ...stayed in cabin 7...was all good but the owners dog barked basically at everything that moved..was a bit annoying..cabin had everything we needed and was comfortable...nice deck that was perfect for relaxing and having a few beers..Weather was great ....Owners Brian and Rob are nice people....Boat was OK..older fish finder and squeaky swivel seats and had to bail water each morning....seen better days...but fishing was good..caught well  over 200 walleyes..most 13"-16 " with a few 17"-18" mixed in..fished each evening and a few mornings...First time to that area of the lake and was surprised at the high number of boats fishing... a few nights some areas had 5-7 boats fishing within 100 feet of each other...had to move a few times to get away from crowds...Thanks to T-Bone for the lake maps...we caught fish at each place marked ...mid lake humps at 20 feet were best producing areas ...Wife used Cabelas chartreuse wobble jig almost 100 % of the time and I used almost every jig / hook style in my tackle box and she caught more fish than me...leeches were hands down better than worms...Tried trolling for bigger fish with harnesses and Hot n Tots but same size range was caught...Was a great trip and we caught lots of fish...Conclusion is that for sheer numbers of walleye this areas of the lake cant be beat but for larger fish you may need to go somewhere else on Kipawa...we caught enough fish in different areas of the lake that we should have caught a 20"+ fish by accident if they were around....

Thanks for the report Goach15, I have been considering Kipawa myself.

I much prefer tent camping to a lodge though.
