As good as it sounds, I will have to pass on it due to logistics.
Just a little far for me to go, especially when you have this thing called 'winter'.

Capt. Guy and I went to it many years ago. It's a great show and really needs at least 2 days to do it justice. I can't make that one, but I will be at the Syracuse and Hamburg show. If you put them together and multiplied by 10 it still won't be half as good, but it's too far in the winter to risk. Bloss Mountain PA is a nasty area in Feb.

Will be going to the Toronto Sportman's Show to make our yearly visit to Reg at the 3 Seasons booth .Show itself is not what it used to be but always nice for our fishing crew to get together and say Hi to Reg

Hey all.  Found the new board.  I dropped off the old board for a little over a year while I focused on some other rather urgent issues but I`ll be making the trek back up to Reggie`s place this year in June.  I`ll be at the Toronto show Thursday evening to meet up with Reggie and take care of the `details`:)

Anyway, I go to the Harrisburg show every year and it is a great weekend away.  I meet up with the lads from Oshwego and see how long we can last walking the displays.  I am always amazed at the new stuff that shows up and some of the food items that are available just can`t be found anywhere else.  Even the manufacturer reps seem to be mush more eager to talk with you and help you get hooked up with the right stuff.  Last year I was looking for a Yeti cooler for the boat but with the time the Igloo guy spent with us, and the deal he put together, I just had to buy an Igloo right there at the show.  Made the trip worthwhile just with that deal.

Since the NRA took over as primary sponsor the fishing does not seem to be as well represented but still very much worth the drive, IMHO.  Kind of launches me out of the winter blues, if you know what I mean.  Any how, if anyone else is going maybe we`ll see you there.

Got back last night from another great weekend in Harrisburg PA.  Once again this show failed to disappoint.  We arrived Friday night so we could be in line for the doors to open at 9am Saturday.  Surprisingly the crowds did not appear to be as thick during the morning.  I'm not complaining but it felt strange not having to maneuver the shoulder to shoulder hallways.  As the day went on though it slowly returned to a very full house.

I am happy to say that the number of fishing displays has grown considerably over last year.  There was one hall for the outfitters and it was almost completely full.  A great number of the outfitters were from Alaska and they present an interesting adventure.  We are considering that one for 2017.  Although the number of food mixture vendors have not returned, there were more than last year and I was able to secure some new sauces to try for marinades.  A quick trip to the fish market is now in order so I can fire up the smoker and give them a try.  It is still disappointing to see the lack of hardware vendors for the fishing industry.  I think the NRA sponsorship still does not have anyone really focused on bringing those vendors back in.

All in all it was another great show and took us all day just to walk the isles.  Next weekend, the fishing show in Toronto.
