The walleye  and bass were hitting well in Macadam's Bay.  The first night the walleye bit was on by 7pm and over about an hour after.  This was a weekend with my friends and their kids.  All had a great time with lots of action.  We needed a change so on the last night we ended up at the Sand Spit.  There was about 8 boats there including the famous black Lund who likes to troll 2ft from where u are still fishing.  I was polite as their were kids present.  Everyone left before the action started after dark.  They were small and few.

Although I didn't fish the Kipawa River others in the camp had great success there too

Everyone caught a lot of fish and had a lot of fun.  The kids even went swimming in 64 degree F water lol

600 miles north

Thanks for sharing your trip with us riverrat. What a great place to be with friends and family. The Sandbar is always our go to place when we are there, and you are right the walleye tend to be smaller. Did you catch a lot of small cat fish while at the sand bar? The bad part of fishing there is the last few years we catch cat fish 2-1 over walleye.

Did you notice much new construction on the lake from the government dock to sail bay?

Hopefully Jaqcues and Silvy are doing well and still up on the lake at the store. They are such a friendly welcome to us when we arrive.

600 miles north is where I'd rather be!
