Whoa y'all.
That looks like winter.  And that's more winter than I dealt with all 'winter' season.
You have my condolences to get that stuff this late in the year.

Oarin, just got done covering my veggies but fortunately not a lot are up yet. do you plant early for the area and just take a chance? while rolling out the plastic this afternoon I was being pelted by pea size sleet. Just told my buddy that if trend continues I may rethink the packing. I was so conviced that T bone had the right idea, ditch all the stuff that never gets worn..I am down to 19 days.
So many lures and so little time.

Yes, I plant early every year. I usually get away with it. The lettuce and swiss chard will be fine.I got the plants while visiting my daughter in VA a few weeks ago. Last year the tomato leaf blight hit me hard, so this year I found blight resistant tomato plants, not seeds. I make sure they're covered each cold night. So far,so good. I think after tonight I'm good to go for the rest of the growing season.

Opened the camp this past Saturday only to find out that 7 trees had fallen due to high winds this spring.

One in front of my shed, one behind my shed-supported by my quad trailer (no damage).
2 across my aluminum boat, again no damage and 3 others throughout the yard.
Took us all day to cut up, limb and haul away to the burn area.
Woke up Sunday morning to -3 or 27 degrees.

Supposed to be warmer this week for the opener.

it will live its whole life believing that it is stupid.
