Congrats @RHYBAK for becoming the new post champion!
I didn't think anybody would ever top @Dog!
Speaking of him, where's Nate been these days?

Here's a little something to bring him out of the woodwork:

RHYBAK

LOL.... I didn't even know somebody was keeping track
Be kinder than necessary, for everyone you meet is fighting some kind of battle

T-Bone

Rhybak cheats. As an Admin...he goes in and turns the counter forward on his ID. Like in the old days when you could turn back the odometer of cars before selling it. Not that I would do that (I was only a young lad when that was still possible), but I remember people talking about it.

What is that logo anyway? Looks like some kind of alien branding symbol...

Dog has been buried with work issues lately.
Hardly replies to me nowadays.

But I know he'll be back and writing like crazy again.

@RHYBAK - wasn't keep track persay, just noticed your counter on another post was over 400 and thought (holy crap) then I had to go check the stats on everyone LOL

@T-Bone - The logo is the second logo toyota used, it's actually quasi Japanese characters for "Toyoda" (the family name):
http://logos.wikia.com/wiki/Toyota
Dog also uses it as his latest avatar. When he changed his avatar a little while ago it I thought to myself "I've seen that somewhere before here around the house".
Well, long story short, we have a '76 Toyota Landcruiser FJ40 that I recently did the head and exhaust gaskets on.
As a result, pieces have been sitting on the bench for a while now as I never get time to work on it and finish the job (so close too).
About a week ago, while just passing by said work bench, I noticed the symbol on the valve cover (still not on the truck).
I thought again to myself "That's where I saw it! Gotta get a pic of that and send it to Nate". But then time passed and I forgot all about it.
Rhybak's dethroning of the old post champ reminded me....

@SgtCrabby - Thanks for the insight!

STUPID work getting in the way of our Kipawa time.....

Thanks for explaining that symbol @Dog has been using,  I didn't know what it was.  He does like Toyotas.

I agree:   You shouldn't let that dirty 4 letter word that ends with a 'K' get in the way of important stuff; like fish related things.  Luckily, I quit that dirty word!

I'm thinking,  I'm planning, I'm on here often, but not too often; that's impossible.

13 days, 8.5 hours, to go!
Getting close.

@Fort Wisers brent love the logo and story behind it. haha... classic. I'm patiently waiting for my new rig to be available to order that I'm going to convert into an expedition/ overland/ fishing base camp rig so I can park it at @puckster_guy Joe's hodge podge (or anywhere off the grid for that matter and be self-sustainable) and escape the day to day madness... I'm going for a true mobile basecamp with the build out of it. As you might have guessed, the selected vehicle will be a Toyota. I'll start up a build thread so you all can follow along and shake your head at my nonsense once the purchase and modifications begin. Btw, the logo is Katakana and the three symbols literally pronounce to Toyota when spoken in the native tongue. Originally I think Toyota was Toyoda (after the foudning farther) then the logo changed to TEQ (katakana based) then the present day Toyota and current ellipse logo... anywho, I digress.

Sorry for being MIA lately ladies and gentleman (and I use that term loosely around this forum ;-)... life has been crazy lately and as @SgtCrabby  stated I barely even respond to his text or emails anymore sadly. heck, I barely talk to anyone except my work laptop, wife and the golfing gods (once a week). Lots of changes going on at the homefront trying to attend to along with trying to keep my ehad above water at work.

dropping the forum mic and the title of post champion until after trip,
Nate

@Dog !
I knew that logo would bring you out of the woodwork!
No worries on being busy, we all go through stages of life like that, hope it calms down for you soon.
Looking forward to seeing the build thread.
Take care and take it easy:
Brent
