Hello guys,

Heading to White Pine Lodge (at south end near Kipawa village) May 29th-June7th. I've been there twice before but later in season (July and September). The owner of the bait store at the dock in Kipawa told me yesterday that this early in the season, we won't find any walleye anywhere this far down the lake yet and that we need to make the 45 min run to the "Narrows". Anyone have any experience with walleye this early and whether it's a waste of time trying for them other than that far away? I assume the Narrows she is referring to is the area between Hunter and Bedout? Thanks
Do or do not, there is no try.

Wherever you fish make sure it's shallow no more then 8 ft of water. Whatever type bait use a very slow retrieve.
