When you get to Corbeau can you have a walk around and let me know if any damage and main lodge is secured? We've had break ins but not for a couple years now.

Well second time is a charm. Launched again at 10 am, arrived at camp 11 am. Beauty day, broke a little ice around Alwaki, that was it. I passed slow and  close to your docks yesterday,(Canuck Bass) but didn't see anything out of the ordinary. My next trip to town I will stop in and look around. Everything here wintered well with the exception of the chimney on cabin 7. Minor detail!

Perfect, thanks Wayne. Good to know ice will all be gone for our annual opening weekend.

Its 24' C today with a strong south wind and it looks like we are in for some rain or thunderstorm.  That should get  rid of any snow and ice that is left.

Spring is here and summer is fast approaching

I got back late last night. All snow and ice is clear and the lake is wide open. I got the water set up and running as well as built my new BBQ, got settled in nicely TYVM. Red Pine Rd. is a mess as they startd construction on widening and smoothing the road. It's gonna be a carbon copy of Maniwaki when they're done. I gotta head to work, I'll post some pictures later.....Joe
