Entitlement to a Dock Entry

Came across some interesting letters posted on the weekend and was wondering if anyone can shed some light.

As they were posted in a different language they were difficult to interpret.

What I got from it was anyone with land (owned or leased) is entitled to a dock on shore (although they do not own the shoreline).

Two questions:

- is this correct?
- are you entitled to a dock at a main landing even if your camp is down lake?

when you are coming in the main landing in Mungo Bay docks right straight ahead of you and to the left if you are looking up the ramp.

The docks in Mungo bay, were built by camp owners in the area.

It appears that the cottagers in the area have the right to put in a dock to leave their boat at between visits.
Saving them from hauling it home.

They don't want to come in from their cottage and find a stranger's boat tied to their dock.

I would imagine that you would need permission to build a dock. Right Kipawa Jim??

I would say, that if you see a dock , empty on one side, if you left a message , with contact info, you might get lucky.  Cheers, Jim  We went through the same dilema , years ago.
