Not sure how long these lots have been 'on the market', but saw this ad being pushed by Royal LePage. I think this is the same area where Puckster has his lot. Looks like he's going to have some neighbors...maybe one of them will be me...  :P

Yes those are the ones. If you look closely at the one at the tip of the peninsula, they are asking 250k and it is zoned commercial meaning they are hoping for a lodge to be built there. Not sure but I don't believe there are any lodges at that end.

That's the one for you Tbone. You and 3 investors. Start taking French lessons tomorrow.

HA HA!! You never know, I suppose.

The end of that peninsula used to be "Joe McKenzie's" place; actually took a look at it online several years ago when it was for sale then. Would likely have to be completely torn down and redone. Lot's of $$$ to do that, I'd bet.

Old Ed Brink from the original Board used to wax poetic about that place and that area of the lake. Funny stuff. Still some pictures on the .net site in the Photo Library. That site appears to be 'down' again tho...

My brother and I almost bought old Joe's place like 15 years ago (maybe more now), and even then it was in rough shape.
Last we heard it was sold off as individual cabins, but that was just through the rumor mill so take it with a grain of salt.
Really nice location though.

The tip of the peninsula i'm talking about would be virgin forest so I doubt it's this Joe Mackenzie's place.
The lots in question are right across Puckster's lot.

Wasn't Joe Mackenzie camps on the north side of McLaughlin lake?

@limacharley Yes sir you are correct, the pic below shows the location.
I bet @puckster_guy has passed it a million times!

Sorry for the confusion.

Sounds right...I know it was a peninsula right there somewhere. Virgin forest...even more work.

The point on the bottom right corner of the map is the one they're looking $250k for. I believe all the lots are listed as resort or something like that even mine. All the lots around that point are only $60k. The lots are totally wooded with road access. It'll cost about 10 to15k to cut a driveway in and clear an acre for use. Still I think it's a great deal. The fishing is excellent and water traffic very light....for now lol. My place is right across from the point.

Those narrows in front of Mackenzies is good jigging in the evening.

@puckster_guy you're right, 60K is a good deal for land on Kipawa.
When did the road go in that runs out to that peninsula?

puckster_guy

They cut that in about 2 yrs ago.  I searched high and low in Ontario for a lot. Including north of Sudbury and around Temagami. I couldn't find a worthwhile empty lot for less then $200k. Temagami averaged around 200 for a remote water access lot

Far East end of the basin. Two points facing each other.

There is a road that goes to the point you are referring to in the bottom left ?

If you hang a left (coming out of red pine) that will take you around to ferguson.  Are you guys one point off and referring to the point down closer to red pine on the right (when looking at red pine)  that is commercially zoned?

Right around the wire (or fake wire used for spawning grounds)?
