It's been awhile and was looking for information on White Pine Lodge. Does anyone know if it's still open and if so what the rates are there these days? I'd really like to go back soon, but can't seen to find anything on line. I know that Bill was always old school and a lot of traffic was thru word of mouth. Let me if anyone has any information . Thanks in advance.

I think he's looking for a former outfitter that has a camp of sorts on Hunter's Lake...not too far from Alwaki; think it was owned by a few guys from Ohio several years back. From what I understand they no longer "rent" cabins and are no longer recognized as an outfitter on the lake...maybe no longer have a license. They use it for their own personal use, and family and friends. This info goes back a least 5 years though...

That one's called White Birch Point.  Is that the lodge he meant?

Found an old ad from an early 1960s map I have. White Pine Lodge. 1 Mile from Kipawa Village (10 minutes by boat to camp). $45/week for a cabin. Phone 627.3851. Give it a try...may work. Probably better bet to ask Corina via the Kipawa Bait and Tackle web site...she'll know the scoop.

Be sure to ask for that rate if you do get a hold of them.  :o
