First report on here although I been reading reports for 6 years on here it has great advice. Our group of 5 just got back from Sasseginega lake outpost. This is our 5 th year in a row this time of the year. We know we have to put up with the bugs but the amount of walleyes and size we catch we will put up with it. We ending the week with 423 walleyes and around 40 pike even though we don’t fish for them. 75 percent of walleyes was caught on a jig and crawler while the others trolling. We keep track every year and we catch more every year. We always catch one around 30 inch but this year we settled with a 28 and a half but caught a lot between 22 to 27. Had plenty in slot to eat. Probably could of caught more but had 2 and half days of hot weather. The Stickley’s are improving the camps every year and will help you out anyway they can. Thanks Zach and Garrett for a great week. Seen a cow moose on the way out. Already told them we will be back next year a week earlier. What impresses me is when you catch a 20 inch walleye and you have a hard time grabbing them by the back because they are so fat. They are feeding good and the slot is working. We always stay in cabin 5 witch is a half mile up the lake from the main camp. Just can’t catch walleyes here in Pa like that except in Lake Erie but I love trolling 10 yards from the bank and having the view change at every corner.cant wait until next year.

Nice report tree cutter.sounds like the fishing at that end is good too. Curious as to how far up toward the north end you may fish. Rock garden?? certainly pass alot of good looking water on our way to Bush country. I know what you mean about the fat fish and trolling  10 yds from shore.
So many lures and so little time.

We never go that far as rock garden we don’t usually don’t make it up to the other camps from Sasseginega outpost have. This is our groups 5 th year but I had my boy up the when he was 14 he is now 27 so I’ve been there 6 years. I’ve never seen Bush country camps. I use to do fly in to Gouin reservoir the first week of June and caught bigger pike but I never caught walleyes this size up there. We caught a lot between 15 to 20 but this year I caught more walleyes than ever.

I forgot to mention I’m from Titusville Pa and on the way in right by Pants lake there was a group of guys changing a tire. We stopped to to see if they had it handled and they was from Warren Pa and they actually was just coming out of the same Lake we was going into. Small world, Warrren is only about 40 miles from Titusville

Thanks very much for your report. I fished Sasseginaga in 2008 out of Bush Country Camp. Beautiful lake.
