There are lots of lodges on the lake, the 3 that get talked about the most here are Alwaki, 3 seasons and kipawa lodge.  There are a couple others i believe but those 3 seem to be the closest to the best fishing.

Hi Gord,

IMHO, it will be difficult for most to respond to your inquiry in any meaningful fashion due to the lack of information provided. For instance:

Does your group have a preference for a particular part of the lake (Kipawa is approximately 50 miles long)?
Is your group bringing your own boats and motors or will you require them as part of a fishing package?
Does your group prefer a drive to or boat to destination?
Does your group require an American Plan package (meals provided) or a European Plan package (you bring your own food and prepare it)?
Does your group require accommodations that include indoor toilets, hot and cold running water, showers and/or screened porches?
What species of fish will be your primary target?
How do you define great fishing?

Here’s a link to the Outfitters list. Like Jay said, more detail would be needed for better steering. This July will make my 5th trip to Alwaki, its a great, well run facility. I’ve heard the same about many of the other Outfitters on Kipawa. If there’s a particular place you have in mind, there is  certainly someone here, who’s been there and will be willing to help you out.

With only 3 years of experience (and no others to compare it to), I'd recommend Ogascanan. Nice cabins, beautiful lake with good fishing, and the Mullins are great hosts.

Thank everyone

Sorry did not give a lot of info, boys wanted a land based operation so we are going to Miwapanee lodge, guess we will be putting the miles on the boats this year...

Thanks again

Good for you.  You will enjoy Kipawa but you will have to put on some miles to get into the fishing that is bragged about on the website.  Good luck and enjoy your trip.

Thanks Ozzy30

Yes I'm aware of that, we have an 18 ft lund fisherman and 19 ft lund both with 115 outboards so we should be okay to get up to mid lake

What time of year are you going? There is plenty of good fishing at that end of the lake post Canada Day (ish)... Lake trout fishing all year long right out infront of the lodge.... Walleye show up at that end of the lake (Lac Green) in decent numbers beginning early-mid July.

Gordo2270

Well that sucks, going from June 13 to 20th, right in bug season...oh well...hope for an early spring..lol
