In an effort to silence the crickets on this thread here goes nothing!  ;D

What other hobbies do you folks here have outside of the given "Fishing" ? I'll start and not in order of preference. ;)

  • Cooking, especially pizza
  • Eating  ::)
  • Grand Kids/Family
  • Driving a golf cart while drinking beer at a golf course  ;D
  • People
  • Friends
  • ATVs
  • Travel

Man... Just ten years ago this would have been a much different list!  ???
Walleye Rock!

Captain Steve

Hodgey,
I would ditto your list and add Hunting and "Texas Hold-em"

I'd  have to say hiking, golfing, riding the Harley, gardening, getting together with my buds for cards...well you get the idea!
Many men go fishing all of their lives without knowing that it is not fish they are after.

Riding the Roadking
Trail riding with the SXS
Hunting Deer and hopefully a Black Bear this year. Numbers are increasing in my area but, I'm going to Maine for a Bear hunt in September.
Definitely enjoying semi retirement....

Besides fishing... i do not hunt but I know I would like the outdoors.

BBQing, eating, watching UFC with my buddies, and in winter, I snowmobile!

Washing and detailing cars has always been a passion of mine, but I find I am (unfortunately) getting away from that.

I also miss motorcycling... wish I still had one.

Fort Wisers

Not sure if these qualify as hobbies but, besides work and kids, here is what the bulk of my time is spent on:
- Working on the house (renos)
- Working on the camp (renos)
- "Herding" the dogs (we have a "team" of four sled dogs)

Here are some things I wish I had more time for:
- Not doing renos lol
- Boating / Fishing
- ATVing
- Hunting
- Rock Climbing (likely too out of shape now lol)
- Mountain Biking (same note as above)
- Hifi

In the spring and summer, I like to fish, garden and take care of my flock of laying hens.
I donate weekly about 5 dozen eggs to the Gathering Place in North Bay (soup kitchen)

In the fall, I hunt deer with 5 buddies on my land. Every so often, I hunt moose.
I just happen to get a Bull tag for WMU 3 for this fall (September)

In the winter, I am a volunteer with our local snowmobile club where I build bridges, brush trails and do Trail Patrol.
I also ice fish Lake Nipissing....hopefully someday Kipawa.
My wife and I like to travel so we often go to Hawaii, the Carribean etc.

Oh and I also run a very successful manufacturing company. darn work gets in the way often. Lol

Doesn’t sound like work is getting in the way of anything.
Embrace every moment...you only get it once

Ha ha Lol
We were not successful. In fact, it was so warm that we were swatting black flies.
Nothing was moving because of the warm weather. Never saw a fresh track until the last day
and my brother is a pretty darn good hunter having shot +20 moose in his life.
It wasn't from a lack of trying.

The day we left Red Lake was 0°C.
We must have seen a hundred trucks loaded with quads and boats heading north on our way home.

Oh well I picked the wrong week.

I saw a cow and calf last night behind my house...not that I would shoot it.
I think they're eating my sugar beets.

In our moose hunting week, we spent $1200 on gas alone. Crazy prices up there.
